LIFTING THE VEIL
Seventy Years of Memories, Mischief and Rooms Left Behind
The full and hitherto secret biography of Guy J. Singer, shared for the first time!
From being the “cleverest boy at Chigwell” and earning a Cambridge Half Blue, to emergency-landing a sailplane onto an active cricket pitch and surviving near-fatal cave dives, Guy J. Singer’s life has been anything but ordinary.

Lifting the Veil is a raw, wickedly funny, and deeply honest journey through seven decades of high-adrenaline adventures, sharp self-discovery, and lifelong friendships spanning London, Amsterdam, and beyond. A fearless memoir of mischief, resilience, and rooms left behind.
ALDERSHOT
Henry Wells and the Town's Builders in the 19th Century
A rural hamlet shattered by the arrival of an Empire.

In 1854, the British Army descended upon the quiet fields of Aldershot, triggering a chaotic, gold-rush boomtown. Aldershot follows four extraordinary families—the Myers, Lloyds, Martins, and Wells—who hung up their plows to forge a permanent military city. Driven by the civic rise of philanthropist Henry Wells, this fast-paced history charts the raw, factual creation of "The Home of the British Army."

COFFEE WITH THE DUSTMEN
The book is very readable and extremely thorough, revealing an awful lot of information about [Verney] that most of the residents of Farnham who knew him will be totally unaware of.

'PEEPS INTO THE PAST'

BIO
Guy has led a peripatetic life since his late thirties. His travels worldwide and life in other countries inspired his love of history, alternative cultures, and his interest in local research. Now settled in Farnham, he is retired, spending time walking and writing. Knowing his love of wandering, folks might question how long he will stay here. The simple answer Guy automatically fires back is “as long as I am happy”.
When asked what the next project in the pipeline is, Guy replied, “I am toying with several ideas. As my health is not so good, I'm not walking anymore, and I might retire to the Isle of Wight, sit in the sunshine and watch the ferries pass.

One thing I do know, I will go wherever the mood takes me.
